Time-tested protocols for vata-driven joint pain.
Joint pain is a vata-dominant condition in classical Ayurveda. The protocols developed over centuries for it — panchakarma, herbal formulations, lifestyle adjustments — have real, observable effects on inflammation, joint lubrication, and recovery. We use Ayurveda alongside modern care, never as a replacement for surgical urgency.
What our Ayurveda doctors offer
Initial Consultation + Prakriti Assessment
Detailed history, dosha analysis, and personalized protocol design. 60-minute first session.
Abhyanga (Herbal Oil Massage)
Warm medicated oils to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and ease joint stiffness. Done by trained Ayurveda therapists.
Kati Basti / Janu Basti
Localized warm oil pooling treatment for lower back (kati basti) or knee (janu basti). Particularly effective for chronic muscular and joint pain.
Panchakarma Protocols
Where indicated — virechana, basti, or other detox/recovery protocols. Done under supervision, never without context.
Classical Formulations
Authentic, traceable herbal medicines — not generic powders. Yogaraja Guggulu, Maharasnadi Kashayam, Mahanarayana Tailam, and case-specific formulations.
Diet + Lifestyle Counseling
Practical, India-realistic dietary adjustments to reduce vata aggravation and inflammation. Not a 30-page elimination diet — small changes that stick.
Where Ayurveda fits in our model
Ayurveda is part of the council — not separate from it, not above it. Our BAMS/BHMS doctors contribute to every patient case alongside the orthopedic and physiotherapy specialties. Specifically:
- → They identify cases where Ayurveda alone or as a primary modality can help.
- → They design supportive Ayurveda protocols for patients in our 3-month care program.
- → They flag when an Ayurveda-only approach is NOT appropriate — for example, in cases requiring urgent surgery.
We deliberately don't position Ayurveda as a "natural miracle cure" — that's marketing, not medicine. We use it the way Indian families have used it for generations: alongside, supportively, with realistic expectations.
